Not everyone needs a phone that can shoot 4K video, run demanding games, or juggle a dozen apps at once. Sometimes, a reliable unit for messaging, scrolling through TikTok, and watching videos is more than enough. That’s the audience HONOR is targeting with its latest budget offering, the HONOR Play 10, which has officially arrived in the Philippines for ₱6,999 (roughly $111).

The entry-level smartphone combines a 5,000mAh battery, a 6.74-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and a MediaTek Helio G81 processor. It runs Android 15 (Go edition), Google’s streamlined version of Android designed for devices with more modest hardware. The idea is straightforward: cover the everyday essentials without pushing the price too high.

Packing 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, the HONOR Play 10 is designed for everyday tasks such as messaging, browsing, social media, and casual entertainment. Buyers can also expand storage with a microSD card of up to 1TB, which should come in handy for those who prefer downloading videos, keeping photos locally, or carrying a sizable music library. The phone supports 4G connectivity rather than 5G, so its focus is firmly on affordability and essential features.

Its 5,000mAh battery is another highlight, although charging is capped at 10 watts. That means the battery has a generous capacity for a handset in this class, but topping it up may take some patience. The 6.74-inch HD+ FullView display, meanwhile, supports a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling through feeds and menus than a standard 60Hz screen. Just keep expectations in check: Its 1,600 × 720 resolution prioritizes everyday usability over the sharper visuals found on pricier models.

For photography, the HONOR Play 10 has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. These should cover basic snapshots and video calls, though buyers looking for advanced photography features will likely need to consider a higher-tier device. Other practical touches include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and IP52-rated protection against dust and water splashes.

The HONOR Play 10 is available in Midnight Black and Ocean Cyan through authorized HONOR stores nationwide, Globe Telecom stores, and the company’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
