We’re always on the lookout for smartphones that look especially good on paper but don’t put a huge dent into your expenses, and we think the Oukitel Mix 2 fits the bill quite nicely.

As the image above shows, the device unapologetically copies from arguably the best-looking Mi phone to date, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. But while the Xiaomi handset comes with a high price, this one belongs to the lower-midrange category.

You’re looking at possibly the closest thing to a bezel-less device at this price point, with almost zero borders at the top and on both sides of the 18:9 display, which comes in at 6 inches.

The Oukitel Mix 2’s chin features thin bezels as well, though it’s noticeably thicker because of the awkwardly positioned, 13-megapixel selfie camera with LED flash; the USB Type-C port; and the bottom-firing speaker — all necessary inclusions of a modern smartphone. Also impressive is the fact that Oukitel managed to fit a headphone jack into the top edge, casting shade at Android OEMs that had removed the 3.5mm connector.

You get glass on both panels, with the fingerprint reader located at the back of the Oukitel Mix 2. There are two cameras peeking out from the rear — one has a 21-megapixel sensor capable of 4K recording, and the other uses a 2-megapixel sensor to capture depth information.

Inside, there’s a MediaTek Helio P25 processor mated to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. These are all good specs for the money, but it’s also important to note that the Mix 2 has a sizable 4,080mAh battery that can charge from zero to full in 90 minutes.
