Just because it’s not new doesn’t mean it’s not worth considering. The Huawei P9 Plus was launched in the Philippines around this time in 2016. Back then, it was priced at P29,990 (around $570). But today, for a limited time, you’ll be able to buy it for less — much less.

From June 1 to June 2, you can buy the device for only P11,990 ($228) at the Globe Unstoppable Upgrade: Grand Gadget Sale happening at the Glorietta 2 Activity Center.

For that price, you get dual rear cameras — one RGB and one monochrome — that are co-engineered with Leica. In fact, the Huawei P9 series is the first lineup that was borne out of the Chinese tech giant’s partnership with the German camera and optics manufacturer. That partnership is stronger than ever, with the two recently unveiling the Huawei P20, P20 Pro, and Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS.

So if you’re the type who loves to take photos wherever you go, you may want to consider this. Of course, it helps that the Huawei P9 Plus already has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1,080 x 1,920 resolution; 4GB of RAM; and 64GB of native storage. It’s also part of the company’s Android Oreo Beta program.

Besides the Huawei P9 Plus, other LTE smartphones are showcased at Globe Telecom’s grand sale as well, the full list of which can be found below.
