In celebration of Samsung Electronics Philippines’ 20th anniversary, the manufacturer is offering special treats for its consumers. Besides discounts and flexible payment options on digital appliances, there are also markdowns for a limited time on two of its recently launched smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy J6 and Galaxy A6.

Until July 31, you’ll be able to buy each device for P2,000 (roughly $38) less. From P13,990 ($263), the Galaxy J6 now costs P11,990 ($225). The price of the Galaxy A6, on the other hand, goes from P16,490 ($309) to P14,490 ($272).

Launched on June 8 with Filipina actress Nadine Lustre as its endorser, the J6 is Samsung’s cheapest phone with an extra-tall (5.6-inch) screen it calls Infinity Display — one feature you used to see only on Samsung’s flagship line. It’s one of just two J series handsets that get the full-view-screen treatment, with the other being the Galaxy J8.

The Samsung Galaxy J6 is being marketed as an entertainment device. It’s powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native memory. There’s a 13-megapixel camera at the back and an8-megapixel one up front; a 3,000mAh battery; and an Android 8.0 Oreo-based Samsung Experience user interface.

As with the J6, the Samsung Galaxy A6 also features a 5.6-inch AMOLED Infinity display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio; an Exynos 7870 chipset; 3GB of RAM; 32GB of internal storage; a 3,000mAh battery; and Samsung Experience UI with Android 8.0 Oreo on top.
