One of the best-looking midrange smartphones in the Philippines is now at its lowest price ever. The Huawei P20 Lite, which sold for P15,990 (approximately $295) at launch, has dropped to a more affordable price tag of P12,990 ($240).

The P20 Lite — or Nova 3e, as it is known in its native China — was unveiled in March 2018 as an entry-level option in Huawei‘s premium P20 lineup. It combines notched screen with a dual-camera system in a rather compact form factor with glass on both sides.

It’s pretty on the outside, and the screen comes in at 5.8 inches, with a resolution of 2,280 x 1,080. It also ships with Huawei’s own mid-tier Kirin 659 chipset alongside 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and a custom Android interface built around Android 8.0 Oreo. Its 3,000mAh battery charges over a reversible Type-C connector.

But perhaps the Huawei P20 Lite’s best feature is its primary camera module, which uses 16- and 2-megapixel sensors for shooting photos with a bokeh or depth-of-field effect. The selfie camera is 16 megapixels as well.

We recently revisited the P20 Lite as a camera phone, and concluded that it’s still a decent purchase despite coming out much earlier than many of the top choices in the category today. Its reduced price only makes it a more viable option for anyone after a good all-around phone that won’t hurt the pocket or break the bank.
