These days, people would casually whip out their smartphones to take a picture whenever they see something interesting, hoping to capture that picture-perfect shot worthy of an Instagram or Facebook post.

While most modern phones come with camera hardware and software capable of producing high-quality images that could rival those shot on a dedicated professional camera, one global manufacturer has elevated the standard of mobile photography, thanks to its state-of-the-art camera technology.

Last year, Vivo unveiled the ambitious and bold NEX flagship phone, which grabbed headlines with several innovations, including an elevating selfie camera and a notch-free Ultra FullView Display with a fingerprint scanner embedded underneath the display glass.

The front-facing camera’s sophisticated micro-stepping motor and precision control algorithm ensures smooth operation when users enter and exit selfie mode in the camera app.

Meanwhile, the 6.39-inch Ultra FullView Display of the Vivo NEX allows for the ultimate viewing experience by shrinking the bezels down as much as possible to maximize the available screen real estate. This creates the ideal setting for watching movies and TV shows or playing games.

With the Vivo NEX serving as the blueprint for the company’s upcoming line of midrange phones, we can only expect great things from the next Vivo smartphone announcement in the Philippines. Like the NEX before them, the Vivo V15 and V15 Pro will launch with motorized pop-up cameras and full-screen designs without a notch.

Both phones are expected to launch in the Philippines soon, so do check back with us regularly for updates.

Team REVU Founded by Alora Uy Guerrero and Ramon "Monch" Lopez, REVU Philippines is the product of 42 combined years in the media trenches — long enough to see gadgets rise, platforms fall, and deadlines multiply. Between them, they've shaped content for Yahoo, T3, Techie, TV5, MEGA, GadgetMatch, and Gadgets, with a few strategic side quests in retail, PR, and marketing. We're a lean team, which means no filler and no fluff, just the stories worth telling. Between chasing kids, specs, and the perfect camera angle, we brew coffee, shoot content, play video games, watch hoops, blast our favorite bands, and somehow still hit our deadlines. REVU is our passion project, built on the belief that tech journalism should have as much style as it does substance — and preferably enough caffeine to power a small server farm.
