April is turning out to be yet another busy month for Xiaomi Philippines. The company has announced that it will launch the Redmi Note 12 series on April 13.

(Update, April 14: The Redmi Note 12 series is launched in the Philippines!)

There are already six members of the lineup — the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 4G, and Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which has a Harry Potter version. Xiaomi has kept mum about the exact models that will become available in the country, so we’re not sure which of the six models will be introduced on the 13th.

Word has it that we won’t see the Explorer and Turbo variants, though. We also heard that the local pricing could start from P9,999, or roughly $183. Let’s see.

Here’s the event page

All the Redmi Note 12 series phones come with 120Hz screens measuring 6.67 inches. The newly unveiled Redmi Note 12 4G is the first handset to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset. The 5G version, on the other hand, is one of the first smartphones to be powered by a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip, accompanied by a 48-megapixel primary sensor. The Redmi Note 12 5G released in China has two rear lenses, while the one for the Indian market features three cameras on the back, adding an 8-megapixel ultrawide option to the mix.

The Pro upgrades to a faster MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G processor and a slightly sharper 50-megapixel main shooter, whereas the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G has a curved AMOLED screen, a 200-megapixel camera, and support for up to 120-watt fast charging.
