Finally, a confirmation.

(Update, July 17: The vivo Y36 is now available in the Philippines!)

vivo Philippines has shared it will introduce the vivo Y36 to the local market in July. Recall that the smartphone became bestsellers in Malaysia and Thailand when it was launched in our neighboring Southeast Asian countries earlier this month. We at Revü have also seen it online with a possible price of P12,999 (roughly $236).

The vivo Y36 certainly looks like a device meant for the market it’s intended for — Gen Zs and millennials. The Glitter Aqua variant’s Crystal Glass deign, in particular, is inspired by ripples of a shimmering lake.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chip inside gets paired with 8GB of RAM — expandable up to 16GB via dynamic RAM — and 256GB of storage, which you can still extend using a microSD card up to 1TB, giving you the option to store up to 250,000 photos, more than 500 hours of HD videos, and 6.5 million documents.

The vivo Y36 likewise features a 5,000mAh battery that you can fast-charge up to 44 watts; a 6.64-inch FHD+ screen with 240Hz touch-sampling and 90Hz refresh rates; a 50-megapixel triple-rear-camera system; a 16-megapixel selfie sensor; and a user interface based on Android 13.

Even though the Y36 model is already being offered by certain sellers online, we’ll update you on the final details that the brand will sed us. Till then.
