Xiaomi has announced a pair of new wearables and a smart TV in the Philippines, just in time for the upcoming 10.10 sale on Lazada and Shopee.

(Update, October 23: Our Xiaomi Smart Kids Watch review is up!)

The hero product here is obviously the Xiaomi TV A Pro Series, which starts at P8,990 (around $159 converted) for the baseline model with a 32-inch screen and goes up to P32,490 ($573), should you want a large, 65-inch display for your living room or common area. For a limited time, you get a free Redmi Soundbar worth P1,999 ($35) if you purchase at least a 50-inch model.

The complete local pricing for Xiaomi’s latest smart TV is as follows:

  • 32 inches: P8,990 ($159)
  • 43 inches: P16,990 ($300)
  • 50 inches: P20,990 ($370)
  • 55 inches: P22,990 ($405)
  • 65 inches: P32,490 ($573)

There’s also the new Xiaomi Smart Band 8, which we first saw in Berlin, Germany, and the Xiaomi Smart Kids Watch that caters to kids and their families. The Smart Band 8 is priced at P1,999 ($35), while the Smart Kids Watch has a suggested retail price of P4,899 ($86) in the Philippines.

Take note that if you opt for the 32-inch TV, you’ll be missing out on a much sharper panel that outputs 4K visuals with a 3,840 x 2,160 resolution. The base variant has a 1,366 x 768 resolution, or just enough for an HD-quality picture.

Besides a 4K display, the bigger TVs come with a 60Hz refresh rate, two 12-watt speakers that support Dolby Audio as well as DTS-X and DTS Virtual: X Sound, and Google TV running on a quad-core A55 CPU with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and Mali-G52 MP2 graphics. For connectivity, you get Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi in 2.4GHz and 5GHz flavors.

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8, on the other hand, comes with a new metallic midframe in gold and black colors. This also means the latest Band won’t be compatible with straps for previous iterations of the wearable. It has a 1.62-inch AMOLED screen that supports always-on function and — for the first time ever — a refresh rate of 60Hz, making it smoother and more responsive than older generations.

You can even play games on the Smart Band 8, thanks to some newly added watch faces. There’s also Pebble Mode that lets you attach the fitness band to your shoelaces using the optional Running Clip accessory for more accurate data tracking.

Finally, the Xiaomi Smart Kids Watch brings video calling, real-time voice messaging, and GPS-based positioning to the potentially lucrative kids-smartwatch market. It comes in two child-friendly colors — light blue and peach — and packs a 1.4-inch display with an anti-fingerprint coating and a 900mAh battery that should last about five days with light usage.

It’s nice to know that the Smart Kids Watch offers 2 ATM water resistance, too, indicating some protection against minimal splashes of water. Hopefully, this means your child can wear the watch in the rain or wash his or her hands without removing it. Paired with the Xiaomi Kids app, the watch will also let you track various exercises, such as cycling, skipping, and outdoor running.
