(Update, January 29: The realme 12 Pro Series 5G is official!)

According to the brand, the realme 12 Pro Series 5G, which we expect to consist of the realme 12 Pro Plus and realme 12 Pro, will be unveiled on the international stage January 29.

realme 12 Pro Series 5G’s global launch date announced. The ‘Be a Portrait Master’ tag line is somewhat similar to that of another BBK Electronics brand

realme has homed in on two key details here. There’s the imaging setup that includes a periscope portrait camera with a large 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor, offering 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and up to 120x digital zoom. The realme 12 Pro Series 5G also features a 3x Portrait mode with a 71mm golden portrait focal length and optical image stabilization.

And then there’s the design whose inspiration is drawn from a classic luxury watch — a product of realme’s collaboration with international luxury-watch designer Ollivier Savéo, who has worked with the likes of Rolex, Piaget, and Breitling. You get elements like a bezel with 300 metal lines and a sunburst dial with more than 500 sunburst patterns.

Some members of the media were able to get their hands on the realme 12 Pro Series 5G at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. Here’s what they have to say about the upcoming lineup

The realme 12 Pro Plus and realme 12 Pro already appeared on the site of Chinese certification authority TENAA. Based on the listings, the smartphones sport a triple-camera system on the back, a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, and a 5,000mAh battery. The Pro Plus version supposedly comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 5G chipset and a 32-megapixel selfie shooter, while the other model features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 5G processor and a 16-megapixel front camera.

The lineup is confirmed to arrive in the Philippines. It’s just a matter of figuring out when.
