(Update, March 12: The OPPO Reno11 F 5G has landed in the Philippines!)

We’re talking about an early-access meet-and-greet with brand ambassador David Licauco on March 9 at SM Dasmariñas. The company says that fans of the Pambansang Ginoo should be on the lookout for more details about the fan meet in the coming days.

As for the smartphone itself, the Reno11 F 5G is quite the head-turner, sporting OPPO’s nature-inspired Magnetic Particle design that makes the back of the unit shimmer and shine, while its rectangular shape, sleek profile, and lightweight build make it a joy to hold.

But it’s not just about style: The OPPO Reno11 F 5G also boasts an IP65 rating, meaning it can handle a bit of rain — perfect for the unpredictable Philippine weather.

Elsewhere, the phone packs a 6.7-inch AMOLED flat display with FHD+ resolution and slim bezels all around. Those bezels translate to an impressive screen-to-body ratio of roughly 93.4%, or about as good as it gets in the category, ensuring an immersive viewing experience minus the flagship price tag. It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, plus HDR10+ visuals.

For pictures, you get a 64-megapixel main camera alongside a dedicated ultrawide and a 32-megapixel punch-hole shooter for selfies. The OPPO Reno11 F 5G is also a capable video-recording device, able to shoot at up to 4K resolution. It comes with the brand’s Portrait Expert Engine as well for better-looking portraits with sharper details and more accurate skin tones.

A MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G chip powers the Reno 11 F 5G, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and “48-Month Fluency Protection,” which is basically a TÜV SÜD certification that guarantees the device’s optimal performance from day one, with little to no degradation up to 48 months later.

For all-day battery life, this Reno model uses a 5,000mAh battery that tops up quickly via the 67-watt SuperVOOC standard. A full charge is said to take only 48 minutes using the supplied power brick and cable.

On paper, the OPPO Reno11 F 5G looks like a strong contender in the crowded midrange market. Its focus on a well-rounded user experience, from design to performance to longevity, could attract users who want a phone that’s both stylish and reliable. Of course, real-world testing and a closer look at its camera capabilities will tell the full story, so do wait for our full review. But OPPO seems poised to deliver a phone that’s more than just a pretty face.
