The newly launched Huawei Band 9 builds on its predecessor, the Huawei Band 8, and promises to deliver the core features users have come to expect in a fitness-focused wearable without too many flashy surprises. These include a variety of comprehensive and customizable health-tracking tools that can be tailored to fit your needs and goals.

Locally, the Huawei Band 9 has a suggested retail price of P2,399 or roughly $42, but you can find it online for as low as P1,999 ($35). Even better, Huawei has bundled a free coffee cup worth P999 ($18) for every purchase of the Band 9 online. You can also score free shipping vouchers on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and the Huawei Store, in addition to limited discount vouchers up to P100 ($2). Or if you prefer it to buy the fitness tracker in-store, it will be available starting April 27.

If you liked the look of the previous Huawei Band, you’ll feel right at home here. The rectangular design and side button return, promising easy navigation. The Huawei Band 9 is exceptionally lightweight at 14 grams and sports a slim profile for all-day comfort. The 1.47-inch AMOLED display is back, too, offering vibrant visuals on your wrist. It’s also waterproof up to 5ATM, so there’s no need to worry about intensive gym sessions or splashes of rain.

And with over 100 sports modes built in, the wearable provides plenty of options to track your activity — whether you’re a runner, swimmer, or gym enthusiast. Meanwhile, Huawei’s TruSleep 4.0 aims to deliver comprehensive sleep monitoring, breaking down your sleep stages and providing insights into your overnight rest patterns.

The Huawei Band 9 also integrates the enhanced Huawei TruSeen 5.5 heart-rate monitoring technology. It uses a combination of optical sensors and algorithms to measure heart rate accurately, even during high-intensity workouts. Talking about battery life, this one should last you about two weeks on a single full charge.

The Band 9 might deliver the tech specs, but Huawei also understands that a fitness tracker can be an extension of your personal style. Five vibrant color options (we’re eyeing those Lemon Yellow and Charm Pink variants) let you ditch the boring blacks and grays of your average wearable. There’s more: Huawei’s newest Band goes beyond trendy color options with over 10,000 customizable watch faces. Quirky, minimalist, data-focused — there’s surely a preset here to match your mood and aesthetic with this thing.
