This one caught our eye in an instant. It looks lovely and calming and is offered in pink, mint green, and grayish blue — definitely something up our alley.

(Update, April 12: The OPPO A3 Pro is now official!)

The OPPO A3 Pro is already confirmed to launch April 12 in China. And with it, a design that’s a bit similar to the realme 12 Pro Plus 5G and realme 12 Plus 5G, what with the circular camera module, the vertical strip in the middle, and the vegan-leather finish on two of the color variants.

The more interesting tidbit here, we learn, is the IP69 water- and dust-resistance rating, which even high-end smartphones like the Apple iPhone 15 and Samsung Galaxy S24 lineups don’t have. The classification means the OPPO A3 Pro is not only protected against dust but also the most forceful high-temperature water jets, steam cleaning, and intense washdowns.

Bearing the model number PYJ110, the device already surfaced on Geekbench. The details on the benchmarking platform show that the upcoming OPPO model is powered by what is believed to be a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G processor, scoring 904 and 2,364 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. It is also seen to come with 12GB of RAM and an Android 14-based interface.

Word has it that the A3 Pro features a curved 6.7-inch OLED screen with an FHD+ resolution and up to a 120Hz refresh rate; a battery that’s rated at 5,000mAh; and a 1/2-inch 64-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture.
