Based on the invites the company sent, the OPPO Reno12 Series 5G will focus on new AI features, such as AI Portrait and AI LinkBoost, as hinted at in official teaser images. The lineup will likely comprise two models, the standard OPPO Reno12 and the higher-end OPPO Reno12 Pro, mirroring the brand’s releases in China.

Recall that the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro were announced for the Chinese market in May.

OPPO Philippines announces the local launch date of the Reno12 Series 5G. Mark your calendars!

Based on recent leaks, the OPPO Reno12 and OPPO Reno12 Pro will both be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, which is a capable midrange 5G chipset.

Visually, the global Reno12 range sports a “fluid” rear design in metallic-inspired colorways, similar to its Chinese counterpart. However, it remains to be seen if it will ditch the quad-curved display seen on the China-bound Reno12 and Reno12 Pro.

Just take a look at that design

The OPPO Reno12 Series 5G will sport the same vertically aligned triple-camera system housed within a rectangular module. This consistency suggests that camera performance will likely be a key selling point across the entire range. It will be interesting to see how the company prices these smartphones and positions them to appeal to an international audience.
