Huawei has unveiled in Barcelona, Spain, a suite of groundbreaking new products. From the Huawei Watch GT 5 Series, 2024 edition of the Huawei Watch Ultimate, and Huawei Watch D2 to the 12.2-inch Huawei MatePad Pro and Huawei MatePad 12 X, these devices offer advanced features and capabilities designed to enhance your productivity, creativity, and well-being.

(Update, September 26: Check out the pricing and preorder information for the Huawei Watch GT 5 Series and the 2024 edition of the Huawei Watch Ultimate!)

We at Revü first got our hands on all of them in China last month, and we think they’re more impressive than we could have imagined. Too bad Huawei is not bringing the Watch D2 (update, Oct 8: It’s coming here!) and MatePad 12 X to the Philippines — at least based on the company’s recent local announcement; the list doesn’t include the two products.

The first to have Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, the former is useful for keeping track of your blood pressure on the go. We have a bulky Omron to monitor our BP, which dropped to 40/20 at one point, so a slim and light device that can measure it at any time we want or need to is more than welcome. The latter, on the other hand, is more accessible than the Pro yet still a capable tablet. And it doesn’t hurt that it’s available in pretty Greenery, Sakura Pink, and White colors with a pearlescent finish.

At least the rest of the newly launched devices will arrive in the Philippines soon. You can preorder them starting September 26, and we’ll probably know the local prices on that date. If you take advantage of the early-bird promos on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, or the Huawei Experience Store until October 3, you can get discounts of up to P5,000 (roughly $90).

For us, the Watch Ultimate is a masterpiece of design and functionality. Crafted with aerospace-grade titanium alloy and nanocrystal ceramic, this timepiece exudes elegance and durability. It’s the perfect accessory for any occasion. We especially like the green edition with its with dual-color, nano-tech ceramic bezel design; it reminds us of nature.

Which is smart thinking, by the way, because the smartwatch is a golfer’s dream. With the upgraded model’s advanced golf-course features, you can track your shots, analyze your performance, and even get AI-powered caddie advice. You can easily navigate your favorite courses courtesy of the watch’s route import feature, too. Dare we say the Ultimate is a must-have for anyone who demands the best.

Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2″

This tablet combines a stunning display, powerful performance, and versatile features, because it is designed to elevate your productivity and creativity after all.

It’s a visual masterpiece, boasting a world-class dual OLED Tandem PaperMatte Display. The screen delivers visuals with a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits. The advanced anti-sparkle and nanoscale anti-glaring technologies ensure a premium, paper-like viewing experience.

With the Huawei Glide Keyboard, you can seamlessly switch between typing and drawing with the integrated pen. The latter is a 2-in-1 stylus and keyboard storage and charging slot. Utterly convenient, that one, because you can just put the stylus on the slot, and it will automatically pair with the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2″. That will likewise keep the pen charged, so you can use it anytime.

Like when you want to use the new edition of the GoPaint App, which is powered by the FangTian Painting Engine 2.0 and offers a wide range of art creation tools and supports an 8K ultra-large canvas for professional-level artistic expression. Or when you need to use the built-in Huawei Notes and PC-level WPS Office apps to easily manage your tasks, take notes, and create documents.
