Huawei Philippines has a new addition to its popular MatePad line of tablets.
(Update, December 6: We just published this content: Huawei MatePad 12 X: The ultimate lightweight PC-level tablet? [Video])
The Huawei MatePad 12 X is now officially available in the country, targeted at young consumers who crave the power of a PC but don’t like lugging around a laptop. At just 555g and 5.9mm thick, it’s easy to take with you wherever you go.
We first saw it in China three months ago, and because we like all things pretty, the first thing we noticed was how refreshing the MatePad 12 X looks with its shimmery pearlescent finish. The Philippines has the Greenery color variant, at least for now, but there are Sakura Pink and White versions, too.
We were also impressed with the ultra-bright 12-inch PaperMatte display. The screen uses Nanoscale Anti-glare Etching Technology to reduce glare and emit soft light. The texture will make you feel like you’re really writing on paper. Plus, it’s not a fingerprint magnet, thanks to its ultra-hydrophobic and oil-resistant film. It’s easy on the eyes, even after hours of use.
So stylish! We’ll show you the Greenery colorway in our upcoming video
The real magic happens when you start using it. Huawei has teamed up with WPS Office to create a PC-level office suite exclusively for the MatePad 12 X. This means you can work on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations with the same ease and efficiency as you would on a desktop computer. And forget about constantly switching between apps, as this tablet lets you multitask like a pro.
You can use the Huawei MatePad 12 X for a long time before you’ll need to look for an outlet. The device boasts a large 10,100mAh battery that can handle up to 14 hours of video playback. When it’s finally time to charge it, the company’s SuperCharge technology will help you juice it up to 100% in just 85 minutes.
To really take your productivity to the next level, check out the optional PC-level bundle. It includes the Huawei NearLink Keyboard and the third-generation Huawei M-Pencil. The keyboard is perfect for long typing sessions, and the stylus lets you take notes, sketch ideas, and annotate documents with great precision.
That’s not all. The MatePad 12 X also has some amazing creative features. With the Huawei Notes app, you can take notes, sketch diagrams, and even record audio to go along with your notes. And if you’re into digital art, the GoPaint app gives you a ton of realistic brushes and tools to create your own masterpieces — all you need to do is let your imagination run wild.
The Huawei MatePad 12 X is now available with a price of P37,999 (around $648). Purchase it anytime until December 31, and you get to take home a free exclusive bundle worth a total of P19,896 ($339) that includes the Huawei NearLink Keyboard, the third-generation Huawei M-Pencil, the PC-level WPS Office Suite, and the Huawei Bluetooth mouse. You might also want to pair the tablet with any of these three new Wi-Fi routers: Huawei WiFi BE3, Huawei AX3, and Huawei AX1.
