Xiaomi has officially pulled the covers off the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, bringing its premium Leica co-engineered cameras and next-generation silicon-carbon batteries to the global stage.
For the international market, the standard Xiaomi 17T starts at €749 (roughly ₱53,622), while the more powerful Xiaomi 17T Pro carries a starting price of €899 (₱64,362). This year’s release is particularly notable as the company introduces a dual-size lineup for the smartphone series and democratizes the 5x Leica telephoto lens across all models.
For those in the Philippines, you don’t have to wait. You can preorder any of the two devices starting today, May 29. Positioned as true flagship contenders, the local pricing for the lineup sees an adjustment that reflects the hardware jumps over the previous generation.
The top-tier Xiaomi 17T Pro retails for ₱47,999 ($780), arriving in a configuration of 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. For context, last year’s Xiaomi 15T Pro launched at ₱39,999 ($650) for the exact same capacity.
If you want flagship performance at a slightly more accessible price point, the base 12GB/256GB kit of the standard Xiaomi 17T is priced at ₱33,999 ($552). A higher-capacity 12GB/512GB variant is also available for ₱37,999 ($617) — up from the Xiaomi 15T’s ₱28,999 ($471) launch price.
Philippine preorder perks
Preorders kick off today, as we mentioned earlier, and end June 18. Those who reserve their units during this window will secure a premium bundle of freebies and digital subscriptions:
- ₱2,000 ($32) discount coupon
- Redmi Watch 6 smartwatch worth ₱5,499 ($89)
- Xiaomi Backpack valued at ₱2,000 ($32)
- 3 months of Google AI Pro
- 4 months of Spotify Premium
Beyond these bundled offers, early adopters will likewise enjoy exclusive after-sales privileges. The Chinese brand is providing a two-year comprehensive official warranty coverage, alongside one free screen replacement valid within the first six months of purchase.
What’s new then?
This year, Xiaomi abandons the uniform sizing of previous generations, offering a dual-size lineup to cater to different ergonomic preferences.
Notably for mobile photographers, the regular version no longer takes a back seat in the optics department. Both phones share an identical Leica-branded triple-camera system, starting with a 50-megapixel primary sensor that benefits from custom Leica tuning. For zooming, the two units are equipped with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens capable of a true 5x optical, lossless-quality zoom, bringing distant subjects sharp into focus. Rounding out the setup is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor designed to handle expansive landscapes and tight group shots with ease.
The Xiaomi 17T Series also debuts Leica Live Moment, a software feature optimized to capture split-second motion and emotional nuances without sacrificing the signature high-contrast Leica aesthetic.

Beyond the cameras, the internals tell a tale of two distinct power profiles. The more expensive Xiaomi 17T Pro is driven by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 5G chipset. It houses a 6.83-inch AMOLED display pushing a 144Hz refresh rate, all kept alive by a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 100-watt wired and 50-watt wireless fast charging.
On the flip side, the Xiaomi 17T scales things back just a touch while remaining a formidable daily driver. It relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra 5G processor and features a slightly more compact, pocket-friendly 6.59-inch, 120Hz AMOLED screen. By using next-generation high-density silicon-carbon anodes, the company managed to fit a 6,500mAh cell into its slim frame, which comes equipped with 67-watt wired fast charging.
Xiaomi is making a clear play for the true flagship segment here. But yes, the price hike over the previous generation is noticeable. Do you think the addition of a 5x periscope lens on both models, battery upgrades, and the preorder promo make the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro compelling options for those looking for top-tier imaging and performance?
