ASUS is bringing its 2026 ROG Strix gaming laptop lineup to the Philippines. This year’s refresh includes the top-end Strix SCAR 18, alongside the mainstream Strix G18 and Strix G16.
The new models focus on thermal upgrades, expanded connectivity, and a tool-less design that makes swapping RAM and SSDs much simpler, including a Q-latch system to replace standard screws.
Pricing covers a wide range depending on the configuration you choose. If you are looking at the flagship ROG Strix SCAR 18 equipped with an RTX 5090, the price comes in at ₱439,995 (around $7,291). The 18-inch ROG Strix G18 sits at ₱244,995 ($4,060) with an RTX 5070Ti. Meanwhile, the ROG Strix G16 starts at ₱159,995 ($2,651) for the RTX 5050 model and goes up to ₱319,995 ($5,302) for the top-tier RTX 5080 version.
As always, all models include a set of extras. Buying from an authorized retailer includes the ASUS Quality & Service Program, featuring a three-year warranty, one-year accidental damage protection, and up to six claims on the Premium Care package. In the box, buyers get an ROG Universal Backpack, a gaming mouse, three months of PC Game Pass, a lifetime license for Office 2024, and cloud storage bundles.
2026 ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18
Looking at the 2026 ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18, the standout feature is the 18-inch 4K 240Hz Mini LED display. It uses over 2,000 dimming zones and ROG Nebula ELMB to improve overall motion clarity. Inside, it pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 290HX Plus with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 GPU. To manage the heat generated by these high-end components, the company increased the vapor chamber thickness to 3.5mm and upgraded the internal fans, which reportedly increases airflow by 91%. It also retains the customizable AniMe Vision display on the laptop lid.
