HONOR Philippines is officially revving up its hype machine. The company recently dropped a teaser for an upcoming ultra-premium foldable device that it claims will challenge expectations in the space. While HONOR is carefully avoiding dropping an actual name in its press materials — instead leaning on phrases like “meaningful innovation” and “sophisticated craftsmanship” — we can make a guess about what is actually unfolding here.

All signs point to the HONOR Magic V6. Why? For starters, the Magic V6 is already making its global rounds following a high-profile rollout in international markets. It wouldn’t make much sense for HONOR to tease an entirely different, unannounced flagship foldable in the Philippines when its current crown jewel is right there, practically waiting for a local price tag.

The official word from HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng is that this release is “more than the launch of a new device” and represents “another milestone” for the brand. The company’s teaser explicitly highlights three main pillars for the upcoming phone:

  • Exceptional durability
  • Next-generation AI experiences
  • Sophisticated craftsmanship

This perfectly aligns with the Magic V6’s resume. When we published our initial review of the HONOR Magic V6 back in March, we noted how aggressively the global AI devices provider was pushing the hardware envelope. If this teased smartphone is indeed the V6, local buyers are looking at a foldable that boasts an ultra-thin 8.75mm profile when closed.

Could this really be the HONOR Magic V6?

Under the hood, the HONOR Magic V6 is designed to be a workhorse. It runs on Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 5G processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM to effortlessly handle multitasking across its sprawling 7.95-inch LTPO OLED inner display. And while foldables often compromise on photography, company executives have officially confirmed the V6 packs a 50-megapixel shooter with a 10x optical zoom, giving it the kind of flagship-level telephoto capabilities you’d normally only find in huge, traditional slab phones.

There is no official launch date yet, but HONOR Philippines is directing people to its website and social media channels for the big reveal.
