OPPO is looking to outlast the usual upgrade cycle with the upcoming OPPO A7 Pro 5G. Set to arrive soon in the Philippines, the phone isn’t just banking on an oversized 8,000mAh battery for multiday endurance. According to the company, the cell is engineered to maintain its performance for up to six years.
And it’s not just about battery longevity. OPPO is doubling down on durability to help the A7 Pro 5G go the distance. The device boasts an IP69K rating for extreme water and dust resistance, along with Military-Grade Shock Resistance designed to help it withstand the occasional tumble. Up front, a 120Hz AMOLED display promises smooth scrolling, fluid gameplay, and a more immersive viewing experience.
The camera setup also brings some practical upgrades. Around the back is a 50-megapixel main shooter, while selfies get a 50-megapixel ultra-wide AI zoom selfie camera. And because it’s 2026, AI-powered editing features are part of the package, too. OPPO is throwing in AI Remix Collage and AI Popout for quick, creative photo makeovers without the hassle of firing up a separate editing app. All of this is tied together by ColorOS, which includes a dedicated NetworkBoost Chip S1 for stable cellular connectivity and a 5-Year Smoothness Protection guarantee to keep multitasking from bogging down over time.
OPPO Philippines hasn’t officially detailed the rest of the phone’s specifications in the press release sent to us at REVU. However, based on previously reported details, the OPPO A7 Pro 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX processor, paired with a sizable 4,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system to help manage heat under load. Other expected features include 45-watt SUPERVOOC fast charging over USB-C, a secondary 2-megapixel monochrome camera on the back, and a wave-inspired 3D back panel. Color options are said to include Bloom Pink, Shine Titanium, and Surfing Blue.
OPPO hasn’t announced the local price just yet as well, but take note that the A6 Pro 5G arrived in the Philippines about a year ago starting at ₱13,999 (around $219) for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant. The higher-spec 8GB/256GB model, meanwhile, launched at ₱18,999 ($297). Whether the OPPO A7 Pro 5G lands in a similar price bracket remains to be seen.
