The vivo V80 has officially arrived in the Philippines, putting ZEISS-powered portrait photography, eye-catching design, and premium hardware in the spotlight.

For those looking to upgrade, vivo has put its pricing and early-bird perks front and center. The smartphone is available in two configurations, starting at ₱42,999 (roughly $675) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at ₱47,999 ($754).

You can secure a preorder at physical stores nationwide, through the vivo e-store, or via the vivo Store app. Purchasing before the Nov. 13 deadline gets you a sweet ₱2,000 ($31) discount, a pair of limited-edition vivo Buds Air3 worth ₱1,799 ($28), and Gold membership privileges. Early buyers will also receive free six months of broken-screen insurance and warranty coverage, along with 100GB of Google One cloud storage for new users.

For those who prefer more flexible payment options, Home Credit offers the vivo V80 for as low as ₱85 ($1.33) per day over 18 months. You can also get an additional ₱500 ($8) discount by entering the code V80HC500. Meanwhile, those quick enough to secure one of the first 100 preorders through the e-store before Nov. 8, with a ₱1,000 ($16) down payment, will score a VVIP ticket to the “vivo V80 Lights Up Christmas” event featuring ENHYPEN members Jungwon, Jake, and Sunghoon.

As with previous vivo V Series releases, aesthetics and mobile photography take center stage. The V80 doesn’t skimp on build quality, pairing a flagship-grade, one-piece cold-carved glass back with an aerospace-grade aluminum frame for a refined look and comfortable grip. It sports a sleek floating camera module that blends seamlessly into the chassis as well. Buyers can choose between the understated Wander Green and the more eye-catching Starwish Purple, which uses Laser Holographic Lithography to create a three-dimensional, galaxy-inspired finish that shifts with the light. This premium shell houses a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display that pushes a 144Hz refresh rate and can crank up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness.

Co-engineered with ZEISS, the vivo V80 caters to a generation that loves capturing everyday moments with a little extra flair. Its rear camera system consists of a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700V main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel ZEISS Super Telephoto camera. The telephoto setup supports ZEISS 85mm and 100mm Center-Stage Portrait options, giving users more flexibility when framing their subjects while delivering beautifully composed portraits with natural-looking depth.

The V80’s creative toolkit extends beyond its cameras, with AI-powered Creative Camera features introducing studio-inspired lighting effects and a Creative Sticker Collage tool for quick and easy photo edits. There’s also a CCD Flash Portrait mode that brings a nostalgic, film-inspired aesthetic to mobile photography, tapping into the growing appeal of retro-style images. Selfie enthusiasts aren’t left out either, as the front-facing camera packs a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor with autofocus.

Under the hood, the new vivo model brings together capable hardware designed to keep up with all that creative output. It runs on a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 5G chipset and supports 90-watt fast charging. More notably, it houses a 7,200mAh BlueVolt battery. Packing that much capacity into a relatively sleek smartphone is an impressive feat, offering users added peace of mind that the device can comfortably keep up with demanding daily use.

Out of the box, the vivo V80 runs Android 17 with OriginOS 7 on top. Getting the latest Android version right out of the gate is a welcome addition, while the updated interface puts plenty of emphasis on personalization, convenience, and smarter everyday interactions. Users can customize their experience with motion-responsive Wiggle wallpapers, shimmering Glint visual effects, personalized StickIt graphics, and interactive Pet Pals. These playful touches are complemented by practical features such as Snap Note and Security Shield.

Together, these additions give the vivo V80 a software experience that feels both expressive and functional, complementing the phone’s ambitious hardware package.
