Tecno Mobile‘s Spark lineup of budget smartphones in the Philippines has a new member with the launch of the model that debuted more than a month ago.

The Tecno Spark 8P has silently arrived in the country with a suggested retail price of P7,499 (roughly $148 converted). We’re not sure if the device has already been rolled out to offline stores, but it sure is available for purchase at the brand’s official shops on Shopee and Lazada. There are currently two colors to choose from: Tahiti Gold and Turquoise Cyan. The Atlantic Blue variant is on Shopee, but you can’t click on it just yet.

One of the key highlights of the Tecno Spark 8P besides its design is a 50-megapixel triple rear camera with a large, f/1.6 aperture, allowing it to take in more light for more vibrant shots taken even in dimly lit conditions. You’ll find modes like Ultra Clear, HDR, and 120fps Slow Motion Record here.

The phone gets a 6.6-inch screen with a 1080p resolution and a waterdop notch up top for the 8-megapixel selfie shooter.The battery is rated at 5,000mAh; the fingerprint sensor is placed on the side; and the OS is based on Android 11. Powering the 8P is a MediaTek Helio G70 chip paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
