The wait is almost over. OPPO‘s upcoming top-tier smartphone, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, is officially making its way to Philippine shores.
Earlier today, the brand’s local arm dropped a teaser on social media, all but confirming that its most premium offering is gearing up for an imminent local debut. It comes just days ahead of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra’s global launch on April 21 — a date we previously reported. The Find X9 Ultra will be the very first “Ultra” model in the company’s history to break out of its home market and step onto the international stage.

It won’t be sharing the spotlight alone, either. The handset is expected to break cover alongside the OPPO Find X9s, which rumors suggest will be driven by a flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. At the same time, OPPO is preparing to debut the Find X9s Pro, supposedly a slightly upgraded version of the Find X9s, exclusively in China.
As for the Ultra variant, if the leaks hold true, it’s going to be an absolute performance powerhouse, built around Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 16GB of physical RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
But the part we’re really excited about — and why mobile photography fans are glued to this release — is the camera system.
OPPO recently confirmed the Find X9 Ultra’s camera hardware, and the spec sheet is staggering to say the least. Leading the charge is a huge, nearly 1-inch 200-megapixel primary sensor that supposedly takes in 10% more light than last year’s Find X8 Ultra.

The camera details
The zoom capabilities are where things get more interesting. The phone packs a dual-periscope setup featuring another 200-megapixel sensor with 3x optical zoom, boasting a 36% bump in light intake, alongside a newly confirmed 50-megapixel shooter capable of up to 10x optical zoom.
Rounding out the optics are a 50-megapixel ultra-wide and a 50-megapixel selfie shooter, both of which claim a significant 56% improvement in light capture. To keep everything color-accurate, the brand is also throwing in a dedicated 3.2-megapixel “true color” sensor that’s designed to be 43% more light-sensitive.
Naturally, pricing and availability details for the Philippine market haven’t been revealed just yet. That’s expected with early teasers, though things could quickly change once the smartphone goes completely official next week.
Just be prepared to shell out some serious cash. Recall that the standard OPPO Find X9 landed in the Philippines last year with a ₱69,999 (around $1,166) price tag. Given the top-of-the-line silicon and the frankly ridiculous camera hardware packed into this new flagship, expect the Ultra model to demand a steeper premium when it finally hits local shelves.
