Hot on the heels of the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro — a device we recently dubbed a “midrange masterclass” in our review — Infinix is already looking to climb the food chain.
The company has begun teasing its most ambitious local smartphone yet, the Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra. It’s a bold foray into flagship-killer territory, and it’s set to officially debut in the Philippines on May 15. Infinix has also revealed the phone’s suggested retail price.
Locally, the Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra will retail for ₱32,999 (around $545) for the 12GB RAM/512GB storage configuration. While that moves the brand into a higher price bracket than fans might be used to, there is a silver lining in the form of an “exclusive discount” waiting for those who buy through Shopee on day one. And while Infinix is currently being coy about the exact figure for now, given the premium price, we’re expecting a hefty cut to make that first-day purchase much more appealing. You can purchase the Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra via Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
Infinix Philippines’ promo for the Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra Pininfarina Edition
The standout feature here isn’t just under the hood; it’s the hood itself. Infinix tapped Pininfarina to handle the aesthetics. If that name sounds familiar, it should. The world-renowned Italian firm has spent nine decades designing cars for the likes of Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati. That automotive DNA is clear in the Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra’s sleek lines and elegant exterior.
There’s also the Active Matrix Display on the rear. We saw a glimpse of this on the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro and came away impressed. It’s more than just a notification hub. You can actually play mini-games on the back panel, turning the smartphone into a double-sided piece of tech.
Of course, the internals aren’t slacking either. Infinix has equipped the NOTE 60 Ultra with the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, a 4nm chipset designed to keep pace with the best of them. You’re also getting a top-tier display and a camera system that promises to punch well above its weight class.
The most “Ultra” thing about this phone, however, might be the power management. Infinix has managed to cram a huge 7,000mAh battery into the chassis. To ensure you aren’t tethered to a wall all day, it supports 100-watt wired charging and 50-watt wireless charging, too.
