If there’s one thing HUAWEI knows how to do, it’s consistently churn out competent wearables. The technology giant has just dropped its latest health-tracking devices in the Philippines: the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 and the beefier HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro.

If you’re looking to upgrade your wrist game, the baseline model is priced at ₱8,999 (roughly $146). Stepping up to the Pro will set you back ₱13,999 ($227).

Both are officially available now, and HUAWEI is sweetening the deal for early adopters. If you’re hunting for a discount, there are ₱1,000 ($16) early-bird vouchers floating around Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. Alternatively, buying directly from the HUAWEI Online Store can give you up to ₱2,500 ($41) in vouchers. Plus, if you pull the trigger before June 21, the company is tossing in a hefty bundle of freebies — including a free pair of HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 2 if you opt for the Pro model.

What exactly are you paying for? Instead of just tweaking the software, HUAWEI is leaning heavily into specialized materials and hyper-specific tracking this time around. The Pro version in White swaps out standard aluminum for an aerospace-grade nanoceramic metal, while the Orange colorway gets a breathable woven strap that feels built for actual sweat.

Under the hood, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro is flexing some serious medical-adjacent tech, including a CE-certified ECG and a non-invasive Diabetes Risk Study feature. It also supports 40-meter freediving and has built-in global golf course maps.

For local utility, both watches integrate directly with GCash WatchPay and Angkas, which is a useful touch for navigating Metro Manila. The standard model doesn’t slack either, maintaining up to 10 days of battery life on light usage and tossing in quirky mini-workouts for quick desk stretches.

Ultimately, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Series feels less like a standard generational bump and more like a calculated play for wrists that want serious health metrics without the clunky, oversized aesthetic of a traditional sports watch. Whether the niche tracking tools — like the offline global golf maps or the deep-dive freediving data — are enough to pull you away from other dominant smartwatch ecosystems depends entirely on how you spend your weekends. But at this price point, the hardware alone makes a compelling argument.
