ASUS Republic of Gamers has rolled out its 2026 Zephyrus laptop lineup in the Philippines.
The star of the show? The ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo, a dual-screen machine that costs more than a decent secondhand car. But if you prefer your gaming laptops thin, light, and slightly more forgiving on your budget, the revamped ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 and ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 are also hitting the local market.
Philippine pricing and availability
As usual, all units feature ROG’s slick Slash Lighting aesthetic and come loaded with out-of-the-box perks, including a three-year warranty, Office 2024, and three months of PC Game Pass. If you want to pair your purchase with one of the matching ROG Slash 4.0 backpacks, those will arrive separately at select ASUS stores in the country sometime in July.
If those numbers induce a mild heart attack, you can largely blame the current state of the global supply chain. The technology industry, as you probably know, is caught in a brutal squeeze as DRAM and NAND flash costs skyrocket. Because AI data centers are hoarding memory chips to power their infrastructure, the resulting shortage has forced OEMs to raise consumer hardware prices.
We’ve already seen this ripple effect hit the smartphone market, driving up smartphone costs globally. Even Apple — a company that typically shields its customers from supply-chain volatility — recently rolled out a steep 20% price hike across its iPad and Mac lines to offset these unprecedented component costs. So, while you are paying a premium for these new gaming rigs, it directly reflects a market where high-end silicon is becoming an increasingly rare commodity.
Anyhow, here’s the pricing breakdown for the Philippine market:
- ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo (GX651AX): ₱559,995 or $9,134 converted (RTX 5090, 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD)
- ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 (GU606AX): ₱429,995 or $7,014 (RTX 5090, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD)
- ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 (GU606AR): ₱289,995 or $4,730 (RTX 5070Ti, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD)
- ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (GU405AW): ₱324,995 or $5,301 (RTX 5080, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD)
- ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (GU405AP): ₱224,995 or $3,670 (RTX 5070, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD)
ROG Zephyrus Duo: 2 screens, 1 wild price tag
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo (GX651AX) is pretty much what you get when engineers get bored with standard form factors. Billed as the world’s first 16-inch dual-screen gaming laptop, it features two 16:10 touchscreens side-by-side. The primary display packs a gorgeous 3K HDR OLED panel pushing 1,100 nits of peak brightness, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and full Dolby Vision HDR support. And to keep reflections at bay, both displays are treated with an anti-glare coating.
ASUS also threw in a 320-degree kickstand hinge. Depending on how you fold it, you can prop the device up like a tent, use it as a traditional clamshell, or set it up like a book. Inside, it packs an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H chip, a bleeding-edge NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU, 64GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage.

ROG Zephyrus G16 and Zephyrus G14: Practical powerhouses
If you want top-shelf performance without the dual-screen gimmickry, the standard G series is where you should look.
The 16-inch Zephyrus G16 (GU606) retains its gorgeous aluminum chassis, measuring just 1.49cm thick and weighing 1.85kg. You get an ultra-fast 240Hz 2.5K OLED display and a 90Wh battery that supposedly charges from zero to 50% in half an hour. You can spec it up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H and an RTX 5090 GPU, backed by a cooling system that uses liquid metal and a tri-fan setup to keep internal temperatures in check.
Meanwhile, the 14-inch Zephyrus G14 (GU405) keeps things incredibly portable at a mere 1.5kg and a 1.59cm profile. It tops out with an RTX 5080, which is honestly wild for such a compact laptop. ASUS claims it has entirely reworked the thermals here, tossing in thicker heat pipes and more copper fins to increase airflow by 11.4%. The G14 sports a 3K 120Hz OLED screen that handles HDR content brilliantly thanks to its VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. Notably, older Ryzen-powered versions of the G14 will remain available locally alongside the new Intel models.
