Well, that didn’t take long. Just a few days after dropping a vague teaser for an unnamed ultra-premium foldable, HONOR Philippines has officially dropped the suspense. The mystery device heading to local shores is indeed the HONOR Magic V6.

In a social media update, the company confirmed that the flagship foldable will officially launch in the country on Aug. 18. The announcement validates what most industry watchers expected following the smartphone’s high-profile rollout in global markets earlier this year.

According to HONOR, the local campaign for the HONOR Magic V6 will lean heavily on four primary pillars: rugged build durability, extended battery life, flagship-tier performance, and suite-level AI capabilities.

The official local date confirms the hardware trajectory we tracked when we got our hands on the unit earlier this year. In our initial review from March, we noted how aggressively the brand engineered the hardware to tackle traditional foldable vulnerabilities, wrapping a heavy-duty frame into a thin 8.75mm profile when closed.

The HONOR Magic V6 is coming!

On the technical front, the HONOR Magic V6 does not pull punches. It is powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 5G processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM to drive its main LTPO OLED display. Crucially for mobile photography fans, the phone avoids the camera downgrades typically associated with foldable form factors, featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera paired with 10x optical zoom lens.

HONOR has yet to share local pricing, storage configurations, or preorder freebies for the Magic V6. All remaining commercial details will be locked in during the formal launch event on Aug. 18.
