Sloclap’s stellar 2022 kung-fu brawler Sifu is heading to Android and iOS on Oct. 12.
Originally launched for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, the game quickly built a reputation for its stylish, cel-shaded aesthetic and unforgiving difficulty. And now, it’s officially making the jump to smaller screens.
According to Sifu’s App Store page, the iOS version will be priced at ₱499 in the Philippines and $7.99 in the United States. There’s no word yet on how much it will cost on Google Play, nor do we know if we will see adjustments here in the Philippines. We have seen some premium console ports carry surprisingly attractive regional price tags locally, so there’s reason to be optimistic.

What made Sifu so compelling at the time of its release was its fusion of deep, satisfying martial-arts systems with a distinct cinematic feel. It scratched an itch left behind by classics like Shenmue and Sleeping Dogs. Having spent hours with the title on PC and Xbox Series X, we can safely say this is far from a mindless button-masher. Success requires genuine strategy, constant improvisation, and careful crowd management. In fact, that steep learning curve is arguably why it hasn’t achieved the same mainstream popularity as those older games we mentioned. Its technical demands can alienate casual players.
The same action, the same aura, the same atmosphere. Now in the palm of your hands.

The announcement
The app store description sums it up perfectly: “Is one life enough to know Kung Fu?” You play as a student out to avenge your family. You’re totally on your own against hordes of enemies, but you have a magical amulet that brings you back to life when you die. The catch is you age every time you come back. You’ll hit harder, but your max health drops.
To make sure the port feels right on a touchscreen, the developers added new touch controls, tweaked the camera, and improved how you interact with the environment. If you’d rather use a real gamepad, it supports controllers right out of the box, too. Plus, you get the complete story campaign, fully optimized for playing on the go.
For those planning to pick up Sifu on an Apple device, note that it requires iOS 18 or later and a 2.1GB download. Android specifications remain unlisted as of this writing. The game’s release is just around the corner, so start stretching those fingers — you’re definitely going to need those reflexes.
