Bazaars are now a fixture during the holiday season, but fulfilling your gift-buying duties in places where the finds are most often cheaper than goods being sold in malls, not to mention unique, can be a hassle these days. Metro Manila traffic alone is enough to dissuade even the most zealous of last-minute shoppers.

It’s a good thing, then, that the Philippines’ first online bazaar, DigiMall (www.digimall.com.ph), is going live from December 18 through 20, offering consumers the ease of shopping from home, or anywhere in the country for that matter.

DigiMall, the country’s first online bazaar, will feature some 20 merchants from Globe Telecom’s Shopify e-commerce platform.

The bazaar will feature some 20 merchants from Globe Telecom’s Shopify e-commerce platform, including gadget reseller YouPoundIt and local footwear startup Renegade Folk. It is also a great place to shop for products available in the Globe Gen3 store, such as Star Wars merchandise. As is the case with offline bazaars, discounted items will be made available throughout its limited run.

Also: As a special treat for those who purchase items from DigiMall, 15 people will each be treated to a P5,000 shopping spree at the World Bazaar Philippines at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. In case you haven’t had your fill of shopping yet, I guess.

I, for one, prefer to buy stuff online, so I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for DigiMall.
