It’s almost time. Xiaomi’s first authorized Mi Store in the Philippines — located at TriNoma in Quezon City — is opening its doors to the public tomorrow, February 17.

What products will be sold there? The Mi Philippines Facebook page has revealed that the company’s Android One phone, the Xiaomi Mi A1, will be up for grabs for P10,990 (around $210). The price is already competitive, considering that in India, the device is retailing at ₹14,999, which is equivalent to P12,181 or $233.

The Mi A1 rocks two 12-megapixel cameras round the back for optical zoom and snapping portraits with a shallow depth of field. It has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor inside and features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory, a 5.5-inch full-HD screen, and a 3,080mAh battery that charges over a future-proof USB Type-C connection.

What to expect at the opening of the first-ever authorized Xiaomi Mi Store in the Philippines

Another smartphone that’s sure to go on sale at the store is the Snapdragon 625-powered Xiaomi Mi Max 2. The handset is all about a big display (6.44 inches) and an even bigger battery (5,300mAh). And you can buy it for only P12,999 or $249.

Again, that’s aggressive pricing because in China, the 64GB model is priced at ¥1,699 (P14,017 or $268) while the 128GB variant sells for ¥1,999 (P16,492 or $315).

Other Mi devices available for purchase at the first authorized Mi Store in the Philippines are the Mi Power Bank 2 and the Mi Band 2. You can get these items at a discount — 5 percent off mobile phones and 10 percent off accessories.

Besides the said products, the store is also expected to have all sorts of Xiaomi gear on offer, including Bluetooth and wired audio accessories, shoes, bags, routers, security cameras, and laptops. It’s also safe to assume that more Mi handsets will be sold there.

We’ll be at TriNoma to cover the store opening, so if our internet connection is fast, expect us to go live on our Facebook page. How about you? Will you be there as well?
