The OPPO F7 will launch in the Philippines soon, possibly anytime within this month or the next. How do we know this? Well, we can’t say for certain, but the writing, as they say, is on the wall.
Or in this case, all over the mall. Several indoor ads showing the OPPO F7 have been spotted at SM City Novaliches, a retail location in the Philippine capital.
And while these promotional materials reveal nothing new about the upcoming midrange phone, they do show the two brand ambassadors tasked by OPPO to endorse the F7 domestically — Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto, or JoshLia. Last year, the celebrity pairing was tapped to market the OPPO F5, the F7’s predecessor, on social media, so we really shouldn’t be surprised by the recent developments.
A local launch is imminent, but it remains to be seen when it will take place. The situation is different in India, where the OPPO F7 is slated to debut March 26 in the subcontinent. According to the Indian media, the phone will come with a 6.2-inch, 2,280 x 1,080 display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The display will have a notch a la the Apple iPhone X and many others. The notch fits a 25-megapixel camera for selfies. And as with the OPPO F5, the F7 will arrive with artificial intelligence-beautification features in order to make your selfies look better.
We’ll have more details on the OPPO F7 (price and launch date perhaps?) as they become available to us.
