Huawei Honor 10 price and specs on Revu Philippines

New Honor 10 is essentially a much cheaper Huawei P20

Huawei has launched the Honor 10 in China, ahead of a planned May 15 unveiling in London.

It’s the phone you buy if you have your eye on the Huawei P20 but can’t justify the leap to the P34,990 (about $672) flagship. The Honor 10 treats users to an almost-all-screen design that extends nearly all the way to the bottom and is only broken by the notch at the top. It gets color-shifting glass at the back as well, reminiscent of the Twilight color version of the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro.

As with the P20, the LCD display on the Honor 10 spans 5.8 inches across, with a resolution of 2,280 x 1,080. The chin of the phone gets a fingerprint reader, something Huawei likely implemented to give the backing a cleaner look.

The dual-camera array on the back has a 16-megapixel sensor for color and a 24-megapixel monochrome sensor for better image clarity and contrast. For selfies, there’s a 24-megapixel shooter on the front.

On the inside, you’ll find the same Kirin 970 processor purring inside the Huawei P20 and Mate 10 enclosures. The chip is mated to 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage, which can be upgraded using an SD card slot. The Honor 10 will be managed by a dedicated AI co-processor within the chipset. The battery capacity is pretty good — 3,400mAh.

As with previous Honor designs, the big attraction here is pricing. The Honor 10 will be available from April 27 for 2,599 yuan (around P21,564 or $413) for 64GB of storage and 2,999 yuan for 128GB (P24,884 or $476). Prices are likely to change when the phone lands in Europe. However, it’s not yet known how much it will cost overseas.

As Honor phones are currently not being sold in the Philippines — at least not officially — don’t expect an announcement in the Philippines soon. Unless they’re coming back to the country. We’ll see.
