The China-exclusive Mi 6X is the successor to 2017’s Xiaomi Mi 5X and its international version, the Xiaomi Mi A1 pure Android phone. So it is widely believed that the global variant of the 6X will be called the Xiaomi Mi A2.

The Mi A2’s existence has already been confirmed a week ago, on the website of regulatory body Eurasian Economic Commission. Meaning the phone might be launched in Europe in the future. It’s listed on the site with a still-unannounced Xiaomi Mi Note 5.

It’s now almost 100 percent possible that the smartphone with model numbers M1805D1SC, M1805D1SE, and M1805D1ST spotted on the site of China’s TENAA regulatory agency is the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, considering that the one that appeared in Singapore has almost the same model number: M1805D1SG. Only the last two characters are different.

But we doubt it. We’re going with the TENAA bit. We’ll see how things end up in the coming weeks. Hopefully, the wait won’t be that long.
