From today till tomorrow, July 31, you can buy the variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage for only P8,990 (roughly $169). It’s an exclusive offer to Lazada Philippines customers, which goes without saying that the Payday Sale promo is for online transactions only.

ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 sale announcement

The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 was first made available in the Philippines on June 25 for a regular price of P9,995 ($187). It runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo, certainly a come-on for those who’d rather have a clean user interface.

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chip — the same chip that powers the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and ASUS’ very own ZenFone 5 using eight high-performance CPU cores and Adreno 509 graphics.

On the back is a dual 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera setup. The front, on the other hand, sees an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The screen measures a generous 6 inches, with 2,160 x 1,080 resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Of course, the device won’t be a part of ASUS’ Max series if it isn’t equipped with a big battery. The one on the ZenFone Max Pro M1 is rated at 5,000mAh.

We’ve had the handset since June. And while we have yet to publish our in-depth review of it because of other commitments, we’re telling you now, the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 at P8,990 is a great buy.

The handset has a 4GB RAM/64GB ROM model that you can purchase for P13,995 ($262) from the company’s concept stores. In addition to the memory bump, it pairs a sharper 16-megapixel main camera (upgraded from 13 megapixels) with a 5-megapixel one for portrait-style pictures with bokeh effect.
