Just days after launching the Watch GT 2 in China, Huawei is teasing the arrival of the device in the Philippines before the end of the month — October 26, to be exact.

The second-generation model of the premium Huawei Watch GT just went on sale in China via JD. It’s selling the 46mm variant with a starting price of ¥1,488 (around P10,862 or $210). The watch is available in both Sports and Classic versions.

We haven’t seen the pricing for the 42mm model yet, but in Euro, it costs €229 (P13,057 or $252). It’s understandably more expensive in Europe with the higher taxes imposed on consumer electronics there.

Huawei Philippines is asking its Facebook followers to guess the price and the colors the smartwatch will be available in. Some fans are speculating around P12,000 ($233), which doesn’t seem far off considering that the original went on sale for P12,990 ($252) at launch.

The company refines the Huawei Watch GT 2 to give it a more premium look than its predecessor. It features a 1.39-inch display with a 3D glass uni-surface and two control buttons on the side.

The wearable is powered by the new Kirin A1 chipset and offers features like underwater heart-rate monitoring, Always-On display, Find Phone feature, flashlight, notification, and alarm. There is also sleep tracking, remote control camera, and GPS.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 supports up to 50ATM water resistance, and it can handle Bluetooth calls from a distance of up to 150m. It has 13 running courses and 15 workout modes pre-installed.

Huawei promises up to two weeks of battery life with the Watch GT 2. We’re pretty sure this is true because our unit — the first GT — lasts even more than that. Anyhow, the new one is estimated to last up to 30 hours on GPS mode on a full charge, 24 hours when used for music playback, and 10 hours during a Bluetooth call.
