The Philippines’ No. 1 smartphone brand for six consecutive quarters has updated its handset lineup with an entry-level model that looks fun and stylish.
Realme has launched the Realme C33 in the country, pricing it at P7,499, or roughly $127 converted. What’s even better is that the phone will be exclusively offered on the company’s TikTok Shop for only P6,499 ($110) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on October 14.
The first thing you’ll notice about the Realme C33 is its design, which the brand calls “boundless sea.” We believe the description is spot on, because the shimmering back looks like flowing water. The smartphone is likewise ultra-thin at 8.33mm and has a squared-off box-type build, but with rounded corners to make the unit easier to grip and handle.
A major highlight of the Realme C33 is its 50-megapixel AI camera that the technology-lifestyle company says comes with a new algorithm that can supposedly improve the highlight suppression effect for clearer backlight images. And up front is a 5-megapixel camera housed in a waterdrop notch at the top of the 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display.
Expect the device to last long, most likely a day and even more depending on your usage, thanks to a big battery rated at 5,000mAh. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an Android 12-based Realme UI S Edition, and a Unisoc T612 chip paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage here.
You have two Realme C33 color variants to choose from: Aqua Blue, which is the unit we have, and Night Sea. Our review of this handset should be up by October 25.
