Tecno Mobile has announced that one of its new POVA phones is coming to the Philippines October 15. However, we at Revü already know the handset’s price.

A listing of the Tecno POVA 4 has appeared on the brand’s official store on Shopee ahead of the local launch, showing that its Cryolite Blue and Uranolith Gray color variants will go on sale in the country for P7,999 (around $136).

While its predecessor, the POVA 3, is powered by a 12nm MediaTek Helio G88 chip, the Tecno POVA 4 uses a 6nm Helio G99 CPU, which the Taiwanese chipmaker says is better-suited for all-day mobile gaming. The chip is paired with 8GB of RAM — expandable up to 13GB — and 128GB of storage, though apparently, there’s a version that has double that storage.

Some of the smartphone’s highlights are a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18-watt charging, a 6.82-inch waterdrop HD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, dual-speaker AI noise reduction, Z-axis linear motor, a hard gyroscope, and a heat-dissipation system that has a graphite cooling tube.

Will the Tecno POVA 4 have a discounted price at launch? Will the 256GB model be offered in the Philippines, if not this month then in the near future? And will it be exclusive to Shopee online, or will it be sold to Lazada customers, too? We’ll know in barely a week.
