OPPO says its new lineup ushers in a new era of mobile imaging.

(Update, April 12: The OPPO Find X6 Pro gets the top mark on Dxomark!)

The OPPO Find X6 series, which consists of the Find X6 Pro and the regular Find X6, has launched today, March 21, in China alongside the OPPO Pad 2 tablet and OPPO Enco Free3 earphones. And it boasts a camera system co-engineered with Swedish company Hasselblad and uses the company’s self-designed MariSilicon X imaging NPU.

Like the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro, the OPPO Find X6 Pro comes with a 1-inch camera sensor — a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 — to allow the device to capture more light. The latter is joined by two 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX890 sensors — one for ultrawide shots with a 110-degree field of view and another for periscope-zoom images (think 3x optical zoom and a 6x hybrid zoom).

The non-Pro version is also equipped with a triple-camera system on the back. However, the setup is composed of a pair of 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensors and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 unit. Both smartphones do have a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

Another standout here, at least based on what we see from the specs sheet, is the Find X6 Pro’s 6.82-inch 120Hz OLED screen with 2,500 nits of peak brightness, which should make it easy for you to see what’s on the display even under bright sunlight. The OPPO Find X6, on the other hand, gets a peak brightness of 1,450.

Of course, the two newly launched handsets pack other specs that we expect from today’s flagship smartphones. At the heart of the Pro model is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 5G chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device likewise features a 5,000mAh battery with 100-watt SuperVOOC technology. The vanilla variant, meanwhile, has a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 5G processor and a 4,800mAh battery with support for 80-watt fast charging.

There’s no word yet if the OPPO Find X6 series phones will be available outside the brand’s home country, much less how much they are going to be on the global market. In China, though, they come with the following price tags:

    • 12GB + 256GB: ¥5,999 (around P47,272 in Philippine pesos and $871 in U.S. dollars)
