Apple‘s latest product event is finally in the books, and this year’s WWDC [Worldwide Developers Conference] saw the launch of multiple computers powered by Apple Silicon and a “revolutionary” mixed-reality headset called the Apple Vision Pro.

Unfortunately for the local technology scene, it’s unlikely that the Apple Vision Pro will ever make it to the local market, because the Philippines doesn’t have a retail Apple Store. Not to mention, it costs an eye-watering $3,499 (around P196,590 converted) at retail in the United States. But if you’re interested in how much the newest — and biggest — MacBook Air costs here even if there’s no availability date yet, you’ve come to the right place.

In the Philippines, the 15-inch Apple MacBook Air with an M2 processor officially starts at P82,990 ($1,477) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. The top-of-the-line variant will set you back up to P154,990 ($2,759) if you upgrade the RAM to 24GB and beef up the storage with a 2TB SSD. At that price, you might as well go for the cheaper 14-inch MacBook Pro with a faster M2 Pro chip and twice as much memory, but who are we to judge, right?

After all, the new MacBook Air is said to be the world’s thinnest 15-inch laptop at just 11.5mm. It also weighs 3.3lbs, making it ridiculously lightweight despite its screen size. Apple’s latest MacBook promises 18 hours of battery life, to go along with a six-speaker sound system.

It’s worth mentioning that the latest MacBook Air model gives you a choice between a 35-watt power adapter with dual USB-C ports that can charge two devices at once and a 70-watt one that can fast-charge your MacBook Air, charging the battery up to 50% after just 35 minutes plugged in.
