Mobile gamers have something new to get excited about in the Philippines, with the launch of the latest gaming smartphones from the ROG brand on the local market.

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 and ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate are finally here, both powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform, which is also found in the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 and Samsung’s Galaxy S23 smartphones. Unlike those other models, though, the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate benefit from ASUS‘ new line of ROG Phone accessories, industry-leading cooling solution, and gaming-focused aesthetics.

The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate — our review of which will be posted this weekend — also ups the ante with the ROG Vision matrix display at the back, alongside ASUS’ one-of-a-kind AeroActive Portal cooling, which uses a motorized hinge that automatically opens up when the AeroActive Cooler 7 is installed and is designed to act as a pathway to the vapor chamber and other cooling cooling components inside the phone.

Locally, the regular ROG Phone 7 model starts at P50,995 (about $914 converted) for the base 12GB RAM/256GB storage configuration, while the higher-end 16GB/512GB version is priced at P54,995 ($986). Both kits are available in Storm White and Phantom Black colors in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line ROG Phone 7 Ultimate that comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage goes for P69,995 ($1,255). It is only available in the Storm White colorway, though.

It’s also worth pointing out that the Ultimate variant ships in an eco-friendly recyclable box that houses the bundled AeroActive Cooler 7. The regular version doesn’t come with the cooler attachment, which now has a built-in subwoofer to enhance the bass performance of the smartphone up to 77%.

You can already purchase the ROG Phone 7 series offline as well as online, exclusively through ROG’s official Shopee store. The first 100 buyers of the ROG Phone 7 in the Philippines will receive a pair of free ASUS ROG Cetra TWS earphones worth P4,510 ($81). This offer is valid until July 15, 2023, only.
