The cat is finally out of the bag! The new Huawei MatePad 11.5″ is now available in the Philippines, alongside the Huawei MatePad Air with a faster screen and a more powerful flagship chipset.

Both tablets are aimed at students and young professionals looking for a full-sized tablet that can handle advanced applications, as well as their school, work, and entertainment needs — all while offering all-day battery life. After all, a good tablet should last you the entire day on a full battery charge and have more functionality than just a screen to watch YouTube videos.

Though more affordable than the other, the Huawei MatePad 11.5″ packs some pretty serious hardware under the hood, to go along with a large FullView Display with small bezels and a sharp 2.2K resolution for viewing and editing documents and presentations on the tablet. It also comes with eye-care certifications from both TUV Rheinland and SGS Germany, to guarantee less exposure to blue light, which may prevent users from getting a good night’s rest after working on a big school project.

In the Philippines, the Wi-Fi version of the Huawei MatePad 11.5″ starts at P15,999 (roughly $286) for 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The higher-end variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, on the other hand, has a suggested retail price of P19,999 ($357) and will be available from August 11. If you buy this model until August 31, you can get up to P19,348 ($346) worth of freebies, including the Huawei Smart Keyboard and second-gen Huawei M-Pencil stylus.

Keep in mind that if you purchase the base 6GB/128GB version of the Huawei MatePad 11.5″, you’ll need to purchase the Smart Keyboard and M-Pencil separately, so it makes sense to opt for the 8GB/128GB model instead, especially if you plan on using the device for drawing, writing, and editing notes.
