Transsion Holdings brand Itel’s latest smartphone has arrived in the Philippines.

Initially offered on Shopee, the Itel S23 Plus is priced aggressively for the feature set it offers. It retails at P7,499 (around $132), but can be bought for as low as P5,699 ($101) with Shopee promos and vouchers. Each purchase comes with a free pair of earphones or fitness band, a power brick, and a screen protector.

For that price, you already have a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with an under-screen fingerprint sensor and a wide color gamut of 99% DCI-P3, 8GB of RAM that can be extended up to 16GB via dynamic RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 32-megapixels selfie camera.

At the back, the Itel S23 Plus is rocking a 50-megapixel dual camera with an f/1.6 aperture, AI scene recognition, and up to 10x zoom. The battery is rated at 5,000mAh and comes with 18-watt charging. And GPT AI Assistant is there to better understand you. Powering the device is a 12nm Unisoc T616 chipset.

The S23 Plus is likewise equipped with Dynamic Bar, Itel’s own version of Apple’s Dynamic Island on the iPhone, and ships with Android 13 layered with Itel OS 13 out of the box. It doesn’t hurt that the phone looks premium for its price.
