The Fan Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S23 is now official worldwide, with global availability scheduled for October 26 and with its listing finally up on Samsung Philippines’ online store. Previously, it was just on the support page of the company’s local site.

(Update, October 11: The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus, and Galaxy Buds FE are up for purchase in the Philippines ahead of their official local launch!)

Just like previous FE smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is marketed as an entry point for those who want to experience what the flagship series has to offer, but can’t just yet probably because of budget constraints.

This year’s FE design is patterned after the floating-camera look of the model’s more premium siblings and uses recycled materials and packaging. There are several colors to choose from — Purple, Mint, Graphite, and Cream — though we’re actually more interested in the online-exclusive Tangerine and Indigo variants. That’s just us.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 front and rear protection, IP68 water-and-dust-resistance rating, and a 50-megapixel triple camera on the back and a 10-megapixel one up front, complete with editing tools such as those in Pro mode.

You get a 4,500mAh battery that can be charged up to 50% in just 30 minutes with a 25-watt adapter. There’s also a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display powered by Vision Booster technology and a user interface based on Android 13 as well. The processor to expect — whether it’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or an Exynos 2200 — most likely depends on your region.

The newly announced smartphone is priced starting at $599 or roughly P33,955 converted, making it the cheapest in the lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE has been launched alongside the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Buds FE
