OPPO‘s latest batch of portrait experts has debuted alongside the OPPO Pad Air2 tablet in China, boasting a camera that the company claims can capture SLR-quality portraits.

(Update, January 19: We have the OPPO Reno11 series’ Philippine launch date!)

Unlike the Reno10 series, the newly launched lineup drops the Pro Plus version and focuses on the OPPO Reno11 Pro and OPPO Reno11. The two smartphones look quite alike and is each available in three colors. We’d like to shine a spotlight on the Moonstone variant of the Pro model. It mimics a gemstone’s texture and features a camera island with a glacier pattern and classic jewelry decorative elements.

The OPPO Reno11 Pro packs a rear camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilization, a 32-megapixel portrait shooter, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 112-degree field of view. A 32-megapixel camera takes care of imaging duties up front.

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, the same 5G chipset that’s inside the OPPO Reno10 Pro Plus. The Reno11 Pro likewise features a 6.74-inch curved OLED screen with a 2,772 × 1,240 resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate, a 4,700mAh battery that’s said to last for four years, support for 80-watt SUPERVOOC fast charging, and Android 14-based ColorOS 14.

How about the vanilla OPPO Reno11? Imaging-wise, everything is the same, except that the primary camera on the back is a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 sensor with OIS.

The slightly curved screen measures 6.7 inches, has a 2,412 × 1,080 resolution, and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Underneath the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 5G processor and a 4,800mAh battery with 67-watt SUPERVOOC technology. It also ships with ColorOS 14 out of the box.

In China, the new premium midrangers are priced as follows:

  • OPPO Reno11 Pro
    • 12GB + 256GB: ¥3,499 (roughly P27,371 or $494)
    • 12GB + 512GB: ¥3,799 (P29,718 or $536)
  • OPPO Reno11
    • 12GB + 256GB: ¥2,799 (P21,896 or $395)
    • 12GB + 512GB: ¥2,999 (P23,460 or $423)

We don’t know when OPPO will bring the Reno11 series to the global market, but we’re pretty sure the lineup won’t come to the Philippines this year, if it’s indeed arriving in the country.
