Another flagship phone with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship mobile chipset is here. realme has announced the realme GT5 Pro in China to give high-end phones like the Xiaomi 14 series and the recently launched OnePlus 12 a run for their money.

In fact, the realme GT5 Pro is already available for preorder in China, with shipping slated for December 14. Pricing starts at ¥3,399 (around $478 or P26,453) for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage, while the 16GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB variants are priced at ¥3,699 ($520 or P28,788) and ¥3,999 ($562 or P31,123), respectively. The top-of-the-line 16GB/1TB version, on the other hand, costs ¥4,299 ($604 or P33,458).

realme will offer the GT5 Pro in three colors — Starry Night, Bright Moon, and Red Rock, with the latter two sporting vegan-leather back covers for a more premium feel and look while retaining the smartphone’s IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

The three color variants. Will any of these be released in other countries, including the Philippines?

The realme GT5 Pro packs a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,780 x 1,264 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate for buttery smooth scrolling. Perhaps more notably, this BOE-built panel offers up to a whopping 4,500 nits of maximum brightness, to go along with an under-display fingerprint sensor. There’s also an X-axis haptic motor, making sure you feel every tap or swipe while gaming.

To ensure consistently good imaging performance regardless of lighting, realme has equipped the GT5 Pro with a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 808 CMOS sensor, which uses a dual-layer stacked design to improve low-light shots. The main sensor is joined by a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter with a periscope-style lens and an 8-megapixel ultrawide option. The selfie camera, on the other hand, offers 32 megapixels courtesy of a Sony IMX615 unit.

Inside, the realme GT5 Pro pairs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip with a 5,400mAh battery that supports 100-watt wired charging as well as wireless fast charging up to 50 watts. Other notable specs include Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers.
