After the successful launch of the realme 12 Pro Plus 5G and realme 12 Plus 5G in the Philippines in March, the value-focused technology company will introduce another entry in its number series on the local market. This time, the spotlight will be on the realme 12 5G, an entry point into realme’s latest number lineup.

The phone is set to debut in the country April 25, and it will be the market’s first look at a device powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus 5G chipset. The SoC is built on TSMC’s efficient 6nm process and offers Mali-G57 MC2 graphics, just like MediaTek’s wildly popular Helio G99 4G silicon. In fact, the two share a lot of similarities with one another, including two Cortex-A76 performance cores running up to 2.2GHz and support for 120Hz displays.
Currently, there are no pricing details for the realme 12 5G in the Philippines, but the smartphone starts at ₹16,999 (roughly $203 or P11,637) in India for the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Assuming it sells for around P11,999 ($210) at local retail, this would make it significantly cheaper than the baseline version of the realme 12 Plus 5G, which is priced from P17,999 ($314).
Like other models in the lineup, the realme 12 5G boasts a slim profile and a watch-inspired aesthetic featuring a large circular camera island and a zipper-like design accent that runs vertically down the center of the rear panel. It’s also got a 108-megapixel main image sensor with 3x in-sensor zoom and a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 45 watts out of the box.
The 6.72-inch display is another highlight, and offers FHD+ resolution along with up to 950 nits of peak brightness, so you can enjoy vibrant HDR content outdoors and in brightly lit rooms. The realme 12 5G runs realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 out of the box.
