Smartphone brand TECNO and Southeast Asian esports organization RSG announced plans for a yearlong partnership to support competitive gaming and the esports communities in the Philippines and Malaysia. The partnership, which will begin this month of April, builds upon a previous successful collaboration in 2023.

As part of this year’s initiative, TECNO will continue to support RSG Philippines and kick-start support for RSG Malaysia in its esports tournaments. The two brands will jointly curate community-based local esports outreach programs in the Philippines and Malaysia. RSG players will also serve as TECNO’s official gaming ambassadors. The partnership aims to elevate the standards of competitive esports, increase engagement between esports players, content creators, and the public, and inspire esports communities in the two countries.

“The partnership with RSG Philippines has been fruitful to support esports talent and inspire the communities,” said TECNO regional marketing director Nana Chen. “TECNO’s quest for innovation and giving the best gaming experience through our smartphones match well with these best-in-class esports teams. We are delighted to join hands with RSG again to engage and excite gamers in the Philippines and now in Malaysia.”

According to RSG CEO and founder Jayf Soh, “We are excited that TECNO has decided to strengthen our partnership this year. Both brands are well-aligned in our values to set new standards in both technological innovation and competitive performance. This year, as we extend to both the Philippines and Malaysia, we hope to do more to grow together and cement our position as a leading platform of opportunities for aspirants.”

Pulse Nova Entertainment, a full-service gaming entertainment marketing agency and the exclusive rights-holder of RSG’s players, partnerships, and sponsorships, worked closely with the two brands to develop the partnership. “We’re thrilled to unite industry giants in elevating esports. With TECNO’s support, we aim to break new frontiers through the introduction of meaningful partnerships to mobilize gamers worldwide,” said Pulse Nova Entertainment head of sales Cindy Lim.
