vivo is about to expand the V30 series with the addition of another model.

The vivo V30e 5G is scheduled to debut in India May 2 — with the possibility of launching in other countries. You see, the smartphone was already spotted on Indonesia’s SDPPI Certification website.

The V30e doesn’t resemble the other members of the V30 family, what with the circular camera module, two-toned finish, and vertical strip on its back. We actually prefer the upcoming handset’s design, but that’s just us. On the global site, though, there’s another variant that sports a multi-angle pattern with color changes.

So what do we know about the device thus far?

Official teasers reveal that as with the rest of the models in the lineup, the vivo V30e 5G is equipped with the Aura Light ring light to help you take portraits without the use of a DSLR camera and the help of studio lighting. It features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus, and a 5,500mAh cell boasting an impressive battery life with its “four-year battery health” claim. The latter translates to retaining at least 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, all while maintaining a remarkably slim profile of just 7.69mm.

A listing on Geekbench indicates that the vivo V30e 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor.

Will this unit get released in the Philippines? We currently have the vivo V30 Pro 5G and vivo V30 5G, which are priced starting at P24,999 (roughly $434). It would be nice to have one more V series phone join the local party.
