Guess what Infinix Mobile is bringing next to the Philippines?

(Updates: The Infinix NOTE 40 5G is official in the Philippines! Here’s our experience with the phone.)

The top smartphone brand in the country will release the Infinix NOTE 40 5G on May 21, almost a month after the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro+ 5G and Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 4G became official locally. No price has been announced yet, but the company informed us that the unit will sell for under P13,000 (roughly under $225).

The NOTE 40 5G is clearly marketed at gamers on a budget, what with the Infinix x MLBB [Mobile Legends: Bang Bang] All-Star collaboration for the upcoming model. In fact, the phone will ship in a limited-edition box sleeve showcasing the new Astral Muse skin of Esmeralda, a powerful astrologer in the popular MOBA game who’s known for manipulating the cosmos in battle. The new skin shows her in striking-pink hair and an outfit that channels her celestial magic on the battlefield.

The All-Star collaboration marks Infinix’s second year as an MLBB Professional League partner, reinforcing the Transsion Holdings sub-brand’s dedication to supporting the Philippine esports community.

Stay tuned!

So, what else can we expect from the Infinix NOTE 40 5G?

Based on the launch teaser and the press release, the smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor paired with 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, which can be extended up to 24GB virtually. In Hyper mode, it can go from 0% to 50% in just 26 minutes, thanks to the company’s 33W All-Round Fast Charge technology. And if you do need to charge it wirelessly, you can do so using the bundled 15W Wireless MagCharge magnetic case.

Other Infinix NOTE 40 5G features include a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor; a 108-megapixel “super-zoom camera”; and a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
