Following yesterday’s report confirming a June launch, realme has officially confirmed the Philippine debut of the realme GT 6 on June 20, the same day as the phone’s global announcement in Milan, Italy.

(Update: We give you a look at the key realme Next AI features users can expect from the realme GT 6 ahead of the phone’s launch! You may check out our first impressions of this GT 6 series model, too!)

The upcoming event, scheduled at 4 p.m. Philippine time, will mark the GT series’ return to the international stage.

Positioned as the “new flagship killer” in the AI era, the realme GT 6 will be launched in other markets as well, including India, Indonesia, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, Brazil, Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and, of course, Italy. The company’s expansive launch strategy underscores its global ambitions, with Italy specifically being highlighted as a key European market — or, at least, that’s what we’ve been told.

The local launch of the realme GT 6 will be livestreamed on realme Philippines’ official YouTube and Facebook pages at 4 p.m. on June 20

While official specs remain under wraps, rumors suggest the realme GT 6 will borrow heavily from the China-only realme GT Neo6. That device boasts a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 5G chipset, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a whopping 1TB of fast UFS 4.0 storage.

Other key specs of the GT Neo6 include a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a staggering 6,000 nits peak brightness, while a 5,500mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 120 watts should keep the device running. If these specs hold true, the realme GT 6 could be a serious contender in the flagship arena, especially considering the GT Neo6’s starting price of roughly $290 (around P16,977) in China.

Stay tuned for more details as we inch closer to the June 20 launch event.
